2021年3回目のInCAST（芸術、科学、技術に関する国際学際会議）開催！今回のテーマは「コンバージェンス・リアリティ」日本語だと「収束する現実感」と題した現代の情報社会を表す主題です。

過去に2020年と2021年の２回開催されました。主な参加国はポーランドと日本になりますが、今回はギリシャ、ドイツやスイスからも参加があります。

The theme of this year's conference is "Convergence Reality," which in Japanese can be translated as "converging reality" to describe the modern information society. Especially with the advent of digital technology in the latter half of the 20th century, social life has been accelerated by information, and the sense of reality that we used to perceive with our five senses has been expanded to a meta-reality that appears on screens such as smartphones and computers.

今回のテーマは「コンバージェンス・リアリティ」日本語だと「収束する現実感」とでも訳すような現代の情報社会を表す主題です。特に20世紀後半から登場するデジタルテクノロジーによって社会生活は情報の加速化が進み、それまでの五感で感じとる現実感からスマホやパソコンなどスクリーン上に現れるメタの現実感へと拡張してきています。

第74回カンヌ国際映画祭にてワールドプレミア上映された細田守監督アニメ作品「竜とそばかすの姫」では現代の超巨大インターネット空間の仮想世界と現実世界の往還をファンタジーとして描いていますが、今を生きる我々にとってどちらが先行する現実かといった問いはナンセンスになっているのではないでしょうか？

本カンファレンスは、アート、サイエンス、テクノロジーの領域を超えて発表者の同時代的な研究・調査・報告などを行います。会議はオンネットで開催され、YouTube でも一般に公開されました。
