ポーランドと日本国交樹立100周年記念事業・国際的学術会議「JIKIHITSU 直筆」・アーティストのサイン／阿蘇に於いて自らオーガナイズした「Genesis起源展」や「アーティストイン阿蘇」の研究を中心にした口頭発表。ポーランド各地の研究者・作家をはじめ国内外のオーガナイザーも参加発表。

Contemporary art is not only an individual expression but also a practical activity that creates a new culture in diverse genres. Mt. Aso is regarded as a ‘power spot’. This is a place where the earth’s core is linked to the layer of the earth’s surface by a group of 300 thousand year old volcanos. The project ”genesis” connects work from artists all over the world and symbolizes human activity and culture in relation to the natural environment.

現代美術は個人の表現であると同時に、多様なジャンルで新しい文化を創造する実践的な活動でもあります。

阿蘇山は「パワースポット」とされている。ここは、30万年前の火山群によって、地球の核と地表の層がつながっている場所です。

プロジェクト「genesis」は、世界中のアーティストの作品をつなぎ、自然環境との関わりの中で人間の営みと文化を象徴しています。

about the contents

The project will take place at the base of Aso, known as the “womb of the earth” and a symbol of the origin of the earth and human endeavour.

In September 2010 ”Genesis" exhibition took place and about 6 months later, in March. 11th 2011, there was a huge earthquake in Miyagi-oki. After the earthquake in east side of Japan, giant tsunami wave came from Touhoku's Pacific coast. The TV was broadcasting the tsunami as it covered fields and towns near the coast, turning them into piles of rubble. This scenery showed how this man-made culture, can be easily destroyed in just a blink of an eye. This earthquake and the huge tsunami wave also destroyed the symbol of human advance in technology -a nuclear power plant.
